what is the length between two shackles of anchor chain?

12 inches or/and one foot
The length of anchor chain between two connecting shackles, called a “shot of chain” is 90 feet. A ship can have between 8 and 12 shots aboard connected to each bow anchor. The chain diameter has no bearing on the length of a shot.
Shackle length is 15 fathoms which is 90 feet.
tom and science teacher are right.
Well, tom and teacher are both right but if you want to get really pedantic about it, the length BETWEEN 2 shackles is the length of the connecting shackle, which in 99% of the cases is a shackle called a kenter lugless joining shackle. the size of that will depend on the size od the cable/links being used but on a medium sized cargo ship will be a little over a foot.
info on kenter lugless joining shackles is found in the link below
